Hosts & Home Teams™ is heading to Kansas City July 15-16, 2027

Following the inaugural Field Lab in Portland, we’re bringing an annual executive Hosts & Home Teams™ experience to Kansas City during the same week as Destinations International.


The goal is simple: make it easier for destination leaders already traveling for the Destinations International 2027 conference to extend their trip and participate in both.

Hosts & Home Teams™ brings destination leaders, short-term rental professionals, hospitality partners, and industry stakeholders together to work through the relationships and challenges shaping today’s visitor economy.

Like Portland 2026, Kansas City will be designed as a highly interactive working experience rather than a traditional conference.

By positioning HHT alongside Destinations International, participants can make one trip and engage in two very different industry experiences.
What to Expect
The Kansas City Field Lab will build on the format tested in Portland while responding to the issues shaping the industry in 2027. Participants can expect facilitated working sessions focused on areas such as STR and DMO alignment, host engagement, destination stewardship, data, stakeholder relationships, visitor experience, and the systems influencing tourism at the local level.
