Learn the place
How your destination is marketed, funded and governed, and who to talk to about what. What's coming to town, and what's changing, before it hits your calendar.
We're confirming your membership with our payment processor now. Within one business day you'll get your welcome email with your Start Here kit and your seat at the next live briefing.
Your destination marketing organization works to bring visitors, groups and investment to your community. The Club extends that work to everyone who hosts those visitors: short-term rental hosts and property managers, tourism businesses, community leaders, and the DMO teams who bring them all together.
Learn how your destination works, how group business works, and what good hosting looks like to the place you share. Show up to your destination informed, ready and aligned.
Learn the place. Get ready for groups. Raise the standard.
Most DMOs have a partner team of a few people and a host community in the hundreds. Nobody has the hours to walk each host through how the destination is marketed, when the groups are coming, or what the neighbors need.
So hosts learn it the hard way: from the booking calendar, from a neighbor, from a news story after the vote.
Hosts aren't the problem. Reach is. The Club extends it, and your DMO stays at the center.

Hosts and destinations have been circling the same problems for years, from opposite sides of the table. There's an expression for that.
How your destination works, where it's headed and where you fit, explained by people who work inside DMOs every day.
More of your stakeholders informed and ready to partner, without adding hours to a team that's already stretched.
What a destination wants its partners to understand, translated for the people handing over the keys.
How your destination is marketed, funded and governed, and who to talk to about what. What's coming to town, and what's changing, before it hits your calendar.
Conventions, tournaments, weddings and film crews. Room blocks, need dates and compression. Be ready when your destination needs more beds than its hotels hold.
What good looks like to a destination, for guests and for neighbors. It's what makes a host a partner a destination can count on.

Every briefing ends with one thing to take to your DMO.
A question to ask, a program to look into, a partner page to check. Members walk into the tourism office with something useful.
You can't run a workshop for every host in your market, and you shouldn't have to. The Club gives your short-term rental stakeholders the industry education your team doesn't have hours to deliver, then sends them back to you ready to partner.
In July 2026, Hosts & Home Teams brought destination leaders, short-term rental professionals and civic voices into one designed working room in Portland. Destinations asked us to bring it home. The Lab goes on the road in 2027.
Hosts & Home Teams was created by Jenn Barbee and Kristen Cruz, with Destination Innovate behind the work. We spend our days inside DMOs. The Club takes what we learn there and hands it to everyone who hosts, at a price that doesn't need a board vote.
